Food Donations for the CAC

From Annalise Jones - Troop 372:

I am working on my Eagle Scout Project this month and need your help! Right now millions of Americans have suddenly found themselves without a job due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Many of our own community members here in Sandy Springs do not know where their next meal will come from. That is why I have decided to partner with the Community Assistance Center—the primary emergency relief organization in Sandy Springs—to collect food for those in need.

If you are interested in giving back to our community and helping those who need it the most, here are some ways to contribute to the food drive:

  1. Collect food donations. Ask friends, family and neighbors to help out Troop 372 with the food drive.
  2. Donate by writing a check to the Community Assistance Center and mail it to 821 North Island Terrace, Atlanta, Georgia.

If you decide to collect food, I made a collection card that you can put in your neighbor's mailbox: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19WldDKhuZAdWo6ixKjj-Tam6zD1_zD_M3GoI4cVARr0/edit?usp=sharing. Please bring all items collected to St. James on August 29th (more details about drop off day will be shared later).

Thank you so much for helping me with this project and impacting our community. Please make sure to log any hours working on this project so I can count them as leadership hours.

Thanks again,

Annalise Jones
