BSA Membership Renewal and Troop 370 Dues

It is time for Troop 370 to Recharter for another great year of Scouting! Our Troop continues to offer a vibrant program and serves as a positive influence on more and more boys. The Troop Committee hopes that every boy and adult currently registered will renew their registration for 2025. Invite your friends to join too!

Who recharters (renews BSA membership and pays troop dues)? EVERY adult and youth member wishing to maintain their membership with BSA pays a membership fee directly to the BSA; every youth pays dues to T370.

What happens if I do not submit BSA Membership fees and Troop 370 dues? You will be dropped from our roster and will no longer be a member of Troop 370.

*The recharter process is changing. Instead of submitting both the BSA membership fee and troop dues to T370, you will now renew your BSA membership electronically and pay the membership fee directly to the BSA, and also submit youth troop dues directly to the troop.

How to Renew BSA Membership:

The BSA now uses an online membership renewal process meaning each family will now need to renew their membership each year individually online. You should receive an email from the BSA with a link for renewal. You can also access renewal links via My.scouting.org. Youth will be listed under their parent's account and do not need to create their own account. Please note, renewal dates are based on joining date. If you are unsure when you will need to renew, please check your My.scouting.org account or contact [email protected].

How to Submit Troop Dues:

In addition to renewing membership with BSA, all youth scouts are required to submit Troop 370 dues.

Dues for the 2025 year are $85 per youth and are due to the troop no later than November 22.

PAY YOUTH DUES

• In the notes, write Troop 370 DUES and list each youth name.

Families enjoy Scouting because of its high value and reasonable price and Scouting will remain significantly less expensive than most youth programs in Metro-Atlanta, and certainly more impactful long-term. As has been case in prior years, if the increase in these fees pose an economic hardship for your family, please contact Scoutmaster Harry Evans ([email protected]) or Troop Committee Chairman John Buehner ([email protected]) for information about the Troop’s scholarship and financial assistance programs.
