BSA Troop 370

Overview of Selected High Adventure Opportunities

July 27 - 7:45

Please join us at 7:45 pm on Wednesday, July 27 (during the Scout Meeting period) for an overview of selected High Adventure opportunities at the BSA High Adventure Bases at Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier Canoe Base, the Summit Bechtel Reserve and Sea Base in the Virgin Islands.   The presentation will focus on the Northern Tier (Canoeing) and Sea Base (Sailing) trips scheduled for Summer 2023 but will also touch on the Philmont experience (the Troop is planning to send one or more crews in 2024) and on the Whitewater Rafting and Markmanship experiences at The Summit.

BSA High Adventure trips require significant advanced planning (for example, the Troop signed up and paid significant deposits for the upcoming Northern Tier and Sea Base trips in November of 2021), and it is important to confirm participation and leadership well before the more significant non-refundable deposits are due starting October 1.   We’ll also need to start seriously considering High Adventure options for 2024, as those registrations will open later in the Fall.  These adventures really do create memories that will last a lifetime.
